Tuesday, September 21st 2010 – HAAM BENEFIT DAY!

HAAM Benefit Day is a uniquely Austin event where businesses donate 5% of the day’s proceeds to HAAM to support musicians’ health. Musicians, most of whom are HAAM members, perform throughout the day at retail stores, outside stages, City Hall and more. The event runs from 6am to well past midnight and community members are invited to shop, eat out, listen to great live music and enjoy!

Whole Foods’ 30th Birthday Bash
Whole Foods Lamar

NadaMoo! at the Go Texan Vendor Fair: noon-3pm

NadaMoo! desserts at the Birthday Bash on the Plaza: 6pm-9pm

“Lamar Boulevard and 6th Street used to be an Austin intersection. That is no longer the case. As of right now, please consider it the epicenter of Whole Foods’ nationwide Birthday Bash, because this weekend, the store turns thirty, and they’re doing it up! On Saturday, September 18, the party ramps up. From noon-3pm, more than 40 local vendors will gather for a free local taste fair in a tent outside Whole Foods Downtown. You’ll also find live cooking demonstrations outdoors from noon-5pm featuring Whole Foods’ own chefs.” – Austinist

Whole Foods’ 30th Birthday is this weekend, and we couldn’t be more proud to be one of the 40 local vendors chosen to serve samples at birthday party central/Whole Foods Lamar this Saturday!

Come see us outside in the tents from noon-3 pm, during the local vendor showcase & celebration. There will be lots of sampling from local vendors, craft projects for the kids, live music, cooking demos & of course, free samples of NadaMoo!

The Birthday Bash continues later that night with a concert by White Ghost Shivers & Beto and the Fairlanes, who played the original Whole Foods Market store opening, back in the day! NadaMoo! and several other local vendors will be serving up desserts while you enjoy the music & festivities from 6-9pm. There is a $5 suggested donation for the concert, or a $20 donation gets you the VIP treatment – drinks & food, y’all! To sweeten the deal, all proceeds benefit HAAM – Austin’s local charity that provides medical treatment to local musicians.

2 scoops of gratitude to you, Whole Foods, for doing so much to make Austin a great city & wholeheartedly supporting NadaMoo! for all of these years.

The Got Guts 5K Run/Walk and Gluten-Free Food Fair originated in 2007 as a way to raise awareness and research funds for Celiac disease and gluten intolerance. In the United States alone it’s estimated that 1 in 133 people are affected by Celiac disease. However, of those affected by this condition, approximately 97% don’t even realize they have it. Therefore, moreawareness and better understanding of this disease is needed today.

Lots of Love for NadaMoo!!

We love hearing from people who love NadaMoo!!

Thanks to Serena for the love letter & for sharing the NadaMoo love with your friends!

Hello,

I was recently shopping at my local Whole Foods when I was offered a sample of NadoMoo. All I can say is- Thank you for making me fat! Joking of course! My husband and I are fairly new Vegans, and ice cream was my #1 favorite food as an omnivore.  I’d been missing it dearly until I found your line, it’s absolutely the most comparable to dairy based ice cream (out of the many soy, rice, and coconut flavors we’ve tried).  We recently hosted a bbq at our place, completely vegan, and it went very well- thanks in part to your wonderful ice cream! Now I know to buy more… because it went so fast that my husband didn’t get any! The Maple Pecan is our favorite and I can’t wait to see what else you’ll have to offer if the line expands. I’m really having my cake and eating it too… not contributing to the suffering of  dairy cows but still enjoying Delicious ice cream!!

Thank you!!

Serena S.
